Today's Chogadia (planetary hours) for your city
Chogadia Hisab gives you the 24 saat of any day for your city. 12 day saat run from sunrise to sunset, and 12 night saat run from sunset to the next sunrise.
Each saat is ruled by one of the 7 planets, known by their Arabic names: Mushtari (Jupiter), Zohra (Venus), Shams (Sun), Qamar (Moon), Otarid (Mercury), Zohal (Saturn) and Mirrikh (Mars). The order follows the day of the week.
How the times are worked out
The app calculates sunrise and sunset for your city's coordinates, then splits the daylight into 12 equal saat and the night into 12 more. So a saat runs longer than an hour on summer days and shorter in winter.
Times show in the city's own time zone, so you can check another city's Chogadia from anywhere. Pick any date with the calendar button to plan ahead. The saat running right now is marked in yellow.

An Islamic perspective
Stars and planets have no power of their own. Their effects (taseer) exist only by the decree of Allah, and this app is a reference for those timings.
Note for the Dawoodi Bohra community: this app is for reference only. Don't use it to perform any amal without first seeking Raza (permission) from Aamilsaheb.
It works offline after your first visit, and there's an Android app with a home screen widget.
